Each year during the Texas Tree Conference, Academies, and Trade Show, we host a silent auction.  All proceeds from this event go towards scholarships for arboriculture and urban forestry college students, as well as local research and other statewide urban forestry and arboriculture initiatives.  These donations can be a business’ products or services, store gift cards, passes or vouchers to family activities, hunting and/or fishing trips or supplies, hand or power tools, or personal protective equipment.  Over the years, handcrafted and artisan items, particularly tree or nature-themed items, create a big draw to the Silent Auction.
