Cancellation Policy

A processing fee of $15 USD will be charged for all cancellations received on or before February 17, 2025. Cancellations after February 17, 2025, will be charged the full amount of the registration fee. Cancellation requests must be emailed to [email protected].

Em Landon teaches Negotiation and LL.M. Legal Research and Writing. Prior to transitioning to an academic career, Em practiced civil litigation at Dykema Gossett PLLC. She later served as the Policy Director for the Office of the Attorney General of Texas, where she was responsible for leading statewide efforts to eradicate human trafficking in Texas. Em is the author of Texas’s first-ever strategic plan to fight human trafficking, Charting an End to Human Trafficking in Texas. As the Policy Director and General Counsel, Em provided legal counsel to policymakers and negotiated complex public policy disputes between stakeholders, members of the Legislature, NGOs, and governmental entities.

With her master’s degree in Dispute Resolution, Em has served as a mediator for the Center for Conflict Resolution and California Academy of Mediation Professionals, mediating cases involving civil harassment, insurance claims, landlord-tenant disputes, automobile accidents, construction claims, and property disputes.

Prior to joining Berkeley Law, Em Landon taught conflict resolution and client counseling at St. Mary’s University School of Law in San Antonio, TX and Abilene Christian University’s Conflict Resolution graduate program.

Demian trabaja como Coordinador Regional de Salud Forestal para el Servicio Forestal de Texas A&M con enfoque en el centro y oeste de Texas. El Dr. Gómez obtuvo su Licenciatura y Maestría en Entomología Forestal estudiando plagas forestales invasoras en plantaciones comerciales de pino y eucalipto, y un doctorado de la Escuela de Conservación y Recursos Forestales de la Universidad de Florida en 2020. Su investigación de doctorado se centró en la identificación de recursos, amenazas forestales y vías de introducción.

Demian works as the Regional Forest Health Coordinator for the Texas A&M Forest Service with focus in Central and West Texas. Dr. Gomez obtained his Bachelor and MSc in Forest Entomology studying invasive forest pests in commercial pine and eucalyptus plantations, and a PhD from the School of Forest Resources and Conservation at the University of Florida in 2020. His doctorate research focused on identification resources, emerging forest threats and pathways of introduction.

Durante 45 años, ha trabajado como profesional es trepar árboles y tiene 14 años trabajando como instructor para Davey Tree Expert Company. Colaboró en la preparación de la segunda edición en español del Manual de Estudios para la Certificación del Arbolista, los Estándares de Seguridad Americanos, la Guía para Trepadores de Árboles y el Glosario de Términos de Arboricultura Inglés-Español, Español-Inglés.

Dustin Goodman is the Owner and Lead arborist at Tree Care TXK. He is a Texarkana native, arborist and the 2023 Texas Tree Climbing champion. He's deeply committed to preserving the beauty and safety of trees. At Tree Care TXK he specializes in tree preservation, proper pruning, technical rigging for removals, consultations and aerial inspections. With a focus on maintaining the health and safety of trees and providing intelligent solutions while adhering to the highest industry standards. Dustin is passionate about sharing his expertise and love of trees.

Dustin Goodman es el propietario y arboricultor principal de Tree Care TXK. Es nativo de Texarkana, arboricultor y campeón de escalada de árboles de Texas en 2023. Erick Palacios is an experienced practitioner, team building coordinator, coach and consultant in Utility, Municipal, Commercial, and Residential Forestry. My vast field experience leading teams in the field along with formal accreditation from the International Society of Arboriculture, and the Tree Care Industry Association have allowed me to thrive in the field of Arboriculture all while sharing my passion and advancing the responsible care of trees, people, and businesses in all of our government, civil, and private sectors.
